Kid’s Holiday Gift Guide 2018

Christmas is a special time of year. As a parent nothing is more rewarding then seeing the magic of Christmas through your children’s eyes! This is my 8th year celebrating Christmas as a mama. Based on my mom experience I thought I would round up my all time FAVORITE toys and list them for you below.

Ages 10 Months and above

Joovy Tricycoo 4.1 This bike is perfect for toddlers and some days I use it in place of our stroller. It can be their 1st bike. It comes in different colors and can grow with your child. Has a cup holder and little basket on the back for their stuff.

Matching Egg Set- This toy is so much fun because your toddler will love putting together the eggs. You can use this toy as a color & number game and as pretend play.

Melissa & Doug Cleaning Set Let your toddler help you clean with this fun set.

Dyson Vacuum This vacuum is great because it turns on, makes the suction sound, and actually picks up some dust and dirt!! My boys loved seeing what the vacuum picked up and then emptying it into the garbage.

Sound Machine/Night Light- Hatch Baby acts as a sound machine and night light. It is all controlled from your smart phone or from the machine. You can select the sound with options like rain, ocean, white noise etc. You can select the color of the light and how bright you want it. You can also set a timer to let your toddler know when it is time to get out of bed in the morning.

Tutu- I love Plum Tutu’s options they come in tank or long sleeve, tons of colors and they’re super comfortable. They have snaps at the bottom for easy changes and come in sizes 3-6 months up to 8 years.

Reusable Christmas Stickers Melissa and Doug stickers. I love this because the stickers are reusable and your child can recreate different winter time and Holiday scenes again and again.

TeePee Crate and Kids teepee tents (currently on sale prices range $127-$218). We have had our striped teepee tent for 4 years and it has held up so well. I love that it folds right up and comes in so many great patterns to match your home decor. Your child will love chilling in this tent!

Ages 2 years and up

3 Wheel Scooter- Globber 3 wheel light-up adjustable height scooter. This scooter is for ages 2 and up. It comes in a ton of colors, the wheels light up as they move, and it has steering lock options for younger children. You can then switch it off when they learn to ride it better!

Magnet Blocks- Shape Mags (Magnets) This set is for ages 3 and up but my daughter who is under two is obsessed with this toy! Your kids can build and create all while working on cognitive development, geometry, fine motor, spatial, and critical thinking skills. This set comes with laminated cards that have road signs, windows, letters, numbers, and animal pictures that stick to the square magnets.

Bounce House- 12 x 10 foot inflatable bouncer jumper, has slide, basketball hoop, with 4 balls, and a blower to blow up/deflate. This bounce house is perfect for 3 children and can hold 250 lbs. I love this because if you have the space to blow this up during the cold (cabin fever) months your kids will have a blast burning off energy in your home. During the warmer months you can put it outside. It is easy to deflate and store after your kids are done using it.

Legos This 95 piece set is well worth the price. My kids have had this set for 3 years and they still play with it ALL THE TIME. You can build and create so much with this set and if you have multiple children you don’t need to worry about them fighting over it. This is fun for the whole family to build together. It’s ages 18 months and up.

Balance Bike From Joovy. Ages 2 and up. This bike is perfect for your child once they have out grown their tricycle. It helps build balance and coordination. Your child will have so much fun cruising around on this bike.

Aqua Doddle Mat- Highly recommend this mat for your toddler if they love to color and you don’t want the mess. All you do is fill the markers with water and they can color all over the mat.

Monkey Noodle A sensory, fidget, and tactile toy fun for all ages. You can pull, twist, twirl, bend, and squeeze them. They are nontoxic, free of BPAs, and latex.

Kids Yoga DVD This DVD is for kids 2.5-up. This program uses real yoga poses in 9 fun chapters. Children can join in on the adventure with the instructor.

Qwirkle A FUN strategy game that encourages forward thinking. Perfect for ages 3-up and is fun for the whole family. You can also use the pieces to encourage colors, sorting and pattern learning.

Marble Run My boys love playing with this set. It comes with 85 translucent pieces that allows you to see the 15 marble make their way around and down to the bottom. This is for ages 3-up. Great for future engineers!

Water Beads Great for fine motor skills. I did an Instagram post about these water beads because all 3 of my kids are that obsessed with them. We added water to the beads and after a few hours they grow. We kept them in a large container and I put a mat down to try and contain the beads.

Older kids 4 years and up

Rock Painting Kit Creativity for kids rock painting kit is for ages (6-up). This kit comes with 10 rocks, waterproof paint, 2 brushes, sponges, and stickers. This is something different that your kids can paint and use their imagination with. My kids loved creating their own rocks and then placing them outside our front walkway.

Moon Sand 2 lbs of sand that doesn’t dry out and is so easy to clean up because it clumps together. Perfect for sensory play.

Stomp Rocket Glow in the dark rocket that kids set up.. They jump on it and the rocket shoots up into the sky, over 100 feet high!

Ring Toss- Elite Hookey Ring Toss game is a great family game. It’s safer than darts and can also be used as a learning toy to incorporate math as you play.

Terrarium Creativity for Kids Grow n Glow terrarium. Perfect for ages 6 and up. This set comes with everything you need to grow chia and wheat grass. All you need to do is add water. This set comes with the rocks, dirt, seeds, stickers that glow in the dark, some decor like mushrooms and a bunny to create your own terrarium. It’s easy and so fun to watch it grow after a few days.

Magic Tree House Books- Box set 1. This series of books makes a great gift for both boys and girls. The characters Annie and Jack are regular kids who discover a magic tree house. You can read a chapter a night to your kids and as they get better with reading they can take over and enjoy the adventure! You can add more books to the series as well.

Father’s Day Gifting

I often struggle with ideas of what to do for my husband and my father for Father’s Day. This year, I am on the ball and thought I would share some ideas if you are unsure what to do:

1. Personalized wooden watch

Mother’s Day must haves

I wanted to share some products I am currently obsessing over. I thought they would make great gifts for yourself or any mom in your life.

Fresh flowers from 1800-flowers. These flowers were beyond gorgeous and lasted over a week!!!

Must have cleaning product. My Shark steam mop. It makes cleaning the floor a breeze. It cleans sealed hard floors with just water! No need to worry about harsh chemicals and spending money on floor cleaner once you own this mop. It has a large removable tank that you fill with water. It is light-weight and very easy to push. My new go to face routine I would highly recommend to any mother who wants to up her skin game. I cannot say enough good things about Saranghae skin care.

1.Every night I use the Oil + Foam Cleanser. It is an oil cleaner so, after I use it my skin is soft and brighter. This cleanser deep cleans my pores and when I rub it in with warm water it creates a nice foam that washes away any makeup, dirt, and grime. There is truffle extract and gold in the ingredients. Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse. I use this rinse once every two weeks in place of my shampoo and conditioner. The apple cider vinegar helps to clean my scalp by removing any impurities. It is infused with lavender extract, aloe vera, and argan oil. My hair is super soft and shiny right after washing with this. To maintain healthy shiny hair I try not to over wash.
