Preparing For Baby

I am currently expecting a baby boy this March and this is my 4th time doing this. I find the whole experience of preparing for a new baby, just as exciting as it was with my first born over eight years ago. Since I hit my 3rd trimester I have gone into a crazy nesting mood. We’re working on the nursery by taking down old wallpaper, priming, and painting… Then comes the fun part decorating! (Stay tuned for that blog post). In the meantime, I have been getting some newborn clothes washed and ready. I have also started to gather some new baby must have items like the obvious: diapers, wipes, blankets, burp cloths, beanies etc. I have listed and linked below some other great products I believe you will definitely need along the way.

One of my all time favorite baby companies over the years is aden + anais. Their fabric on everything from blankets, clothes, bibs, and hats is beyond soft and such amazing quality. They have a NEW snuggle knit collection (in navy stripe, rosettes, or heather grey) and this set makes a perfect new baby gift. It contains a knotted gown, beanie, swaddle blanket, and bib. It will keep baby warm and soft from day 1 through a few months old. Another must item is their matching Snuggle Knit Lovely which is perfect for your baby to cuddle and as a keepsake. When your new baby’s tush starts to get irritated you want to have Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Maximum Strength on hand in the nursery and in your diaper bag. This paste is free from dyes, preservatives, parabens, and talc. It’s pediatrician recommended and provides a thick barrier of protection with 40% zinc oxide. I have used this paste for all 3 of my kids and none of them have ever had a bad case of diaper rash.

Bright, colorful, soft TOYS that are safe for a new baby (0+ and up) to interact with is a must. Your baby needs a good lotion + balm for their delicate sensitive skin especially for after bath time. Teething can happen early for some babies and later for others. While teething your baby will become extremely fussy and it will break your mama heart.
