Roman’s nursery is finally complete, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! The process involved TONS of work that we did ourselves. This room originally had wallpaper on it from the early 1990’s. The glue was nearly impossible to take off and the removal damaged the walls. We used a mixture of vinegar + water sprayed on the wall and then a scraper to remove it. To get the glue off we eventually used a clothes steamer. This took an entire weekend. After the wallpaper was removed we needed to spackle the marks and holes in the wall. Then we sanded down the walls, primed, and painted them. Last thing we did was install the accent wallpaper.

The number one thing I knew I wanted to do in this space was have a fun BRIGHT accent wall using removable wallpaper. We did this in our master bedroom 2 years and I am still obsessed with how that turned out. (To see that blog post click here). Once I knew baby was a boy I started looking for abstract wallpaper. I ended up falling in love with a bright pattern that has pops of blues mixed with grey. From there I mixed grey + white furniture. Since the wallpaper had a textured look I knew I wanted a textured area rug to bring it all together. Next we did a real snake grass plant (because they are low maintenance) and add life and more color to the room.

Baby crib is from Delta Children. It’s a 4-in-1 convertible crib. Ours is from Walmart.
The Glider Swivel Rocker Chair is also from Delta Children. Ours is from Target.
